Welcome to the Blanquette online store where you can buy a range of Blanquette sparkling wines some of which are organic, plus presentation bags. Blanquette was first produced in 1531 by the Monks of St. Hilaire perhaps more than 150 years before the Champagne Region produced their bubbles!
It was these Monks who first tied the corks to the bottles. Producers of the Blanquette Ancestrale still follow tradition and bottle at the time of the full moon in March ready for the warmer weather to start the secondary fermentation that produces les bulles (the bubbles) the fabulous sparkle within the bottles.

Blanquette is produced in a relatively small area around Limoux. This is a natural sparkling wine produced by a process that dates back nearly 500 years. The more that you delve into the history, the origins, and associations of la bulle (the bubble), the greater becomes the fascination for this area and the spirit and sparkle of Limoux, the region that provided the world with the ORIGINAL BRUT.
